People: New Execs at Mercer, Globoforce and Other HR Tech Firms

New hires, promotions and other personnel moves throughout the HCM technology community.

Mercer named Julie Humphries to be leader of Mercer Digital in the U.S. She’ll lead Mercer’s business helping clients develop and implement digital strategies to engage their employees and streamline HR processes. She reports to Susan Haberman, senior partner and U.S. Career Business leader. 

Ultimate Software said CFO Mitchell K. Dauerman would step down May 2. He will be succeeded by Felicia Alvaro, vice president of finance and 20-year veteran in Ultimate’s finance and accounting department. Dauerman, who has been the company’s CFO since 1996, will stay on to focus on investor relations and strategic initiatives.

HCM Technology People MovesGloboforce named Maggie Fox as its new chief marketing officer, responsible for leading the company’s global marketing efforts, including brand and category growth, demand generation, digital and field marketing, communications and analyst relations. Previously, she was CMO of the data-driven loyalty firm Aeroplan and senior vice president of digital for SAP 

Paycom Software appointed Jon Evans to be chief operating officer and Brad Smith as chief information officer. Evans had been the company’s senior executive vice president of operations and, before that, its executive vice president of accounting. Smith, who joined Paycom as director of information technology in 2005, had been director of software development.  

Ladders has a new vice president of marketing: Jordan Cohen. Reporting to CEO Marc Cenedella, Cohen will oversee all of the company’s consumer and enterprise marketing efforts including brand strategy, market positioning, demand generation, partnerships, public relations and communications.  

Workforce analytics firm PredictiveHR hired Charles Occhino to be chief technology officer. Most recently, he was a senior cloud architect with Oracle, where he designed, developed and implemented the centralized data repository for Oracle’s Cloud Services Division. Before that, he was a senior data architect for big-data firm SemanticClarity. \

Performance-marketing company Fluent appointed Katherine Rae to be its new head of people. She’ll oversee all areas of HR including talent acquisition, recruitment, diversity and inclusion, and engagement.  

Ken Bowles has become WilsonHCG’s CFO while Gary Cook has joined the talent solutions provider as chief technical officer. Bowles had been with the technology firm Tribridge. Cook most recently worked with IBM’s Watson Talent division. 

IT managed services provider Bell Techlogix hired Dale Dye as senior vice president for digital workplace services. He’s held previous roles at ADP and Unisys. 

Rise People, an HR, payroll, group benefits and retirement savings software platform, hired Joe Amato away from ADP to become its vice president of sales. He’ll be responsible for all direct and channel sales. 

The Paychex board of directors voted to expand to 11 members and elected Pamela A. Joseph, president and COO of payment solutions provider TSYS, to fill the additional seat. Joseph previously served on the Paychex for 11 years before resigning last year due to other commitments.  

Pat Waders, the chief talent officer of ServiceNow, joined Zenefits’ board of directors.
