HCM Technology Report News RoundupThe 2018 HR Technology Conference & Exhibition wrapped up in Las Vegas Friday, after a week of product announcements, startup pitches and talks on everything from AI to women in HR tech and HR systems surveys. Many attendees said this year’s event lacked a single, focused theme, but that might be the result of so many vendors pitching AI products to buyers who are tired of hearing about it. We’ll have more detailed coverage later in the week.

SAP launched a beta version of Brilliant Hire, a digital prescreening process that helps employers examines each candidate’s skills without bias. The tool offers role-based anonymized evaluations, reviewed by a network of subject-matter experts who rate candidates exclusively by their answers. SAP unveiled an initial version during Sapphire 2018 in June. The version launched last week during SuccessConnect includes new question types, GDPR compliance, and a question bank for multiple roles.

Recruitment advertising firm PandoLogic launched a predictive-analytics portal for job advertising. The product features interactive dashboards that chart real-time performance data alongside proprietary predictive campaign benchmarks so that employers can measure effectiveness and ROI of their advertising spend.

Cornerstone OnDemand unveiled Cornerstone Frontline, a recruiting solution designed to speed the hiring of local, entry-level and frontline employees. Intended users include store managers recruiting new cashiers, supervisors in need of seasonal warehouse employees and healthcare providers looking for administrative staff. Today, Cornerstone has more than 1,000 retail, manufacturing and healthcare clients. The company also acquired Workpop, a web and mobile solution for candidates and hiring managers in service-based industries.

Vibe HCM announced a unified HCM engagement platform that enables organizations to deliver compliant, efficient HR transactions and employee engagement tools on any device and in a single platform. The Company will make its platform available in two bundled editions, Vibe Essentials and Vibe Edge, which is said will “bring unprecedented HCM engagement platform functionality and accessibility to mid-market organizations.”

CyberScout’s identity theft and fraud protection services will be added to the marketplace of EaseCentral, an online benefits-enrollment platform built for insurance brokers and employers that has 40,000 clients nationwide.

Enquiron, a provider of consultative business solutions has partnered with PeopleSpheres, a platform designed to help employers develop stronger employee engagement, streamline the provision of HR services and minimize data errors.

TriNet unveiled a new brand identity that aligns with the company’s strategic direction. As part of the rebranding, which includes the tagline “Incredible Starts Here,” the company launched a national advertising campaign emphasizing the company’s delivery of services to growing businesses. In June, TriNet introduced TriNet Professional Services, an industry-specific product that addresses the HR needs of professional services firms in areas such as consulting, advertising and other expertise-driven sectors.

WalkMe launched WalkMe ActionBot, an intuitive chatbot designed to understand the user’s needs and automate complex tasks spanning enterprise applications. The company said ActionBot helps users perform tasks on any web, mobile or desktop application even if when don’t have the necessary knowledge or competency. ActionBot can reside on a user’s desktop, email or any core business application, and uses natural language processing to direct users to relevant application—for requesting time off or adding customer information, for example—and auto-populate fields when necessary. No API integration is required.

HR and compliance solutions provider Compli announced the availability of its Sexual Harassment Prevention Quick Start Program designed specifically for New York employers. This out-of-the-box program allows companies to quickly implement an EEOC-compliant anti-harassment program. Besides offering policies and training, complaint-response procedures and live guidance from Compli’s team of HR professionals, the product includes a technology platform that assigns and tracks required activities. Employees can also access the program on an ongoing basis to re-read policies, refresh their training, review complaint procedures or file a complaint online.

Symphony Talent can now integrate with leading applicant tracking systems including those of Workday, Taleo, Infor Talent Science and Kenexa. The new integration capability allows seamless, secure communication between Symphony’s X-Cloud Career website and CRM features, providing a single platform for hiring across the organization. “Our latest integrations deliver what our clients have requested and need in order to produce a simplified, seamless experience for their recruiters and candidates,” said the company’s CEO, Roopesh Nair.

PlanSource will launch self-renewal tool in Q4 to streamline the benefits renewal process. Using a “Turbo Tax-like interface,” the product simplifies the self-service renewal process by building on smart defaults, AI and metrics from the PlanSource system.

ThinkHR, a provider of HR knowledge solutions to insurance agencies, HR platform providers, and business, announced an equity investment of $67.5 million from Guidepost Growth Equity. The investment will accelerate innovation, adoption and expansion of the company’s software-and-service platform, which currently serves more than 125,000 employers and 850 business partners.

PSI Services launched PSI True Talent, a cloud-based hub that hosts the Glendale, Calif., company’s ecosystem of tech-enabled HR tools and more than 500 online assessments for hiring and development. PSI said True Talent is one of the world’s largest online talent assessment catalogs and delivers more than 10 million assessments per year. Its core features include an enhanced interface, configurable analytics dashboards and a workflow automation engine.
