Roundup: Employers Hang Back on AI; Cornerstone, iCIMS Add Integrations

Fortune 500 companies aren’t doing a great job when it comes to optimizing candidate experience through advanced technology. A report by Phenom People found that more than 90 percent don’t delivery hyper-personalized experiences, use chatbots, delivered recommended jobs or offer a social login option for candidates who want to browse relevant jobs. Eighty-six percent don’t have semantic search capabilities. On the other hand, employers scored well in offering career sites with fast performance, responsive design and up-to-date postings.

Cornerstone OnDemand and EBI are offering a pre-built integration that allows users to create and manage candidate background reports from within the Cornerstone Recruiting Suite. EBI provides solutions with built-in compliance, configurable workflow and real-time status updates on screening orders.

OutMatch announced a new integration with iCIMS. The Prime Assessments integration provides recruiters with more insights into their talent pool and lets mutual customers send assessment results from OutMatch into the iCIMS ATS. 

JobDiva released an implementation of E-Verify’s V30 Modernization that includes new features and an upgraded interface. Notable changes include automatic closing of Employment Authorized (EA) cases, dual Tentative Non-Confirmation results for the DHS and Social Security Administration, the ability to scan and upload passport photos digitally and the ability to create draft cases before submitting them.

Engagement app provider StaffConnect introduced a new version of its SaaS platform. StaffConnect Series 3 offers a more intuitive way to engage and communicate with deskless employees by delivering personalized content, adopting new communication channels and using analytics to measure engagement levels.  

Recognition and rewards platform Kazoo expanded its Insights & Reporting function to provide HR leaders with information that will help determine how their recognition program is driving collaboration and company culture. The company also updated its mobile app to include its Survey, Nominations & Awards and People Directory features.  

London-based Headstart, a startup that aims to help companies reduce bias in hiring through the use of data, raised $7 million in seed funding, according to media reports. The round was led by the Silicon Valley VC firm FoundersX. As VentureBeat notes, Headstart is among a wave of new companies working to help employers address unconscious bias “through combining machine learning with myriad data sources to find the best candidates based on specific objective criteria.”

Fulcrum, an on-demand workforce platform, closed a $1 million seed led by Greatscale Ventures and several private co-investors. Fulcrum connects Fortune 1000 companies with gig and freelance talent providers while maintaining full compliance in more than 80 countries.

Crosschq and 70 Million Jobs, an employment platform for candidates with criminal backgrounds, announced a partnership to promote fair chance hiring. Over the next 12 months, the organizations hope to place thousands of people with criminal backgrounds in jobs.
