Contingent Workforce

A growing proportion of today’s workforce is “non-traditional,” meaning they work for outsourcing firms, are contingent employees, consultants or gig workers. As employers invest more time and money in their employees’ experience, more HCM technology vendors are designing and developing systems that allow companies to manage their people in a unified way, whatever their status. The challenge goes beyond technology: It involves culture, collaboration between HR and Procurement and a retuning of management’s mindset. And, it involves every aspect of people management, from talent acquisition and engagement to workforce strategy.
