Infor, Montage Partner to Strengthen Interview Technology

Retro Video

Infor and Montage have partnered to provide predictive analytics and interviewing technology to employers. The companies will leverage their platforms to offer candidates with an improved interviewing and assessment experience while helping companies move quickly between scheduling, assessment and interviews during the hiring process.

The companies said the partnership is meant to help recruiters quickly hire the right people while maintaining a “candidate-centric experience.” Montage’s goal is to deliver improved efficiency and a more engaging interview experience, while Infor Talent Science delivers data-driven predictions to aid companies in matching candidates with the right roles.

The integration is expected to provide clients with quick access to candidate-specific data from Talent Science, which can then be used to create interview questions tailored to individual candidates. In addition, the companies said they’ll both work to make the predictability model more sophisticated, and more accurate. On their to-do list: Add natural language processing into interview evaluations.

Smoothing the Hiring Process

Montage puts much stock in its commitment to improving the candidate experience and streamlining enterprise-level talent acquisition. “We expect our partnership to take the recruiting process to another level by delivering the insight and information to help our clients make smarter hiring decisions without sacrificing the experience,” said CEO Kurt Heikkinen.

Infor’s Talent Science helps recruiters and hiring managers match candidates to roles by using large quantities of behavioral and performance data from both within their organizations and the broader workforce. Talent Science uses data to help uncover what makes workers successful within a business, then guides the selection of talent by identifying candidates who share the same drivers.

The partnership should also allow organizations to be more flexible as the look for candidates during the pre-hiring phase of the talent acquisition process, said Jill Strange, Infor’s vice president of science applications.

“By leveraging machine learning combined with interviewing technology, we believe we can help companies to better on-board quality candidates,” she said. “By integrating these two technologies we expect to offer a more coherent and unified candidate experience while introducing a higher degree of predictability to the customer.”

Among other things, Montage is an early mover in the development of video interviewing technology. It also provides chatbots to assist in interview scheduling. Infor said it has has 68,000 customers in more than 170 countries.

In January, Infor received a $1.5 billion investment from shareholders Koch Equity Development and Golden Gate Capital. Analysts expect the funds to be used for expansion and product development.
