JazzHR Adds Candidate Self-Scheduling to Recruiting Tools

Vendor Message

JazzHR launched a series of enhancements to its recruiting suite. The company said its aim is to cut down the number of administrative tasks recruiters encounter during the recruiting process.

Scheduling, in particular, is the enhancements’ focus. Across industries, the company believes talent acquisition teams spend more time setting up interviews than actually connecting with candidates. JazzHR’s scheduling software is designed to allow technology address as many scheduling chores as possible.

Harry Karatassos, JazzHR’s vice president of product and engineering, said the enhancements are intended to help the company’s SMB customer base save time and money, as well as improve their recruiting results.

The new features:

  • Allow candidates to self-schedule their own interviews.
  • Group multiple interviews into a single Interview Session to simplify setting up candidates with multiple interviewers.
  • Sync JazzHR with external calendars such as Gmail and Office 365 so users can instantly check the availability of anyone in their organization, send personalized invitations and view all meetings all in one place.
  • Schedule and manage multiple interview events at one time.

Speaking on behalf of JazzHR, customer Ingrid Obregon, director of training and recruiting at JRM Construction Management, said candidate self-scheduling allows her to rely less on  emails and manual calendar entries. That in turn, has more her “more proficient” at scheduling phone screens.

The enhancements to candidate scheduling are available for JazzHR Plus and Pro customers.

We’ve been hearing more about candidate-scheduling solutions recently. In February, Leoforce released Arya 3.0, a new version of its recruiting platform meant to improve the candidate experience by simplifying it. It included self-serve scheduling as well as an engagement module and improved interface.

Around the same time, Infor and Montage partnered to offer an improved interviewing and assessment experience to candidates while helping companies move quickly between scheduling, assessment and interviews. In addition, a number of video-interview companies now incorporate candidate self-scheduling into their platforms.

In discussing such products, vendors say their aim is two-fold: provide candidates with a more consumer-like experience while freeing up recruiters to spend more time developing relationships with prospective hires. Especially today, when the labor market is unusually tight, more employers want to offer job-seekers a more personal touch.
