Roundup: A New ClearanceJobs, ADP Adds to Marketplace

This week’s roundup of deals, product announcements and other news from the HCM technology community.

ClearanceJobs, DHI Group’s site for jobs requiring security clearances, launched ClearanceJobs Next Generation. The new platform includes improvements to customer workflows, a re-designed messenger app that offers live chat and a deeper integration of the proprietary VoIP chat platform ClearanceJobs Voice. The site also offers Recommend, an AI-powered feature that suggests pertinent content to job seekers and notifies employers when high-value candidates take actions such as logging in, viewing a job or updating a resume.

ADP Canada said it will add AI-based technology to its HR Assist platform. The technology delivers insights on employment law issues to its suite of services for Canadian SMBs. ADP Canada will access Toronto-based Blue J Legal’s HR Foresight tool, which helps HR evaluate how courts have previously ruled in several areas of employment law including reasonable notice, worker classification and duty to accommodate.

Speaking of ADP, talent management platform ClearCompany announced the availability of a bi-directional connector for ADP Workforce Now, which will automatically synch employee data between the two platforms. Available on ADP Marketplace, the connector automatically aligns employee and organizational data stored in both ClearCompany and Workforce Now accounts to create a single, up-to-date data record that can be used throughout both systems. Yes, it features single sign-on.

Shyft Technologies and JDA Software will integrate their platforms to optimize workforce scheduling via mobile device. By connecting JDA Workforce Management with Shyft’s mobile employee engagement tools, retailers can further leverage mobile connectivity to engage today’s frontline workforce, the companies said.

Former CyberCoders CEO Heidi Golledge has launched Jobot, a new hiring platform that uses intelligent technology and experienced recruiters to “maximize candidate placements.” Jobot said its model makes the hiring process more efficient by providing tiered levels of assistance, searching the web to identify “ready-to-run” talent and connecting them with employers with or without interaction with real-life recruiters. Jobot officially opened its doors during 2018’s fourth quarter.

WorkJam completed the acquisition of Peerio Technologies, a provider of employee communication software with secure messaging and file-sharing technology. WorkJam said the acquisition is part of a continuing effort to build a complete enterprise-class digital workplace platform. The Peerio acquisition will add secure live chat to WorkJam’s existing package, as well as document- and content-sharing capabilities. Peerio’s employees will join WorkJam.

HealthStream acquired Providigm, a Denver-based company focused on quality assurance and performance improvement in healthcare, primarily at skilled nursing facilities. Providigm brings with it a quality management system called abaqis. HealthStream said the acquisition expands its marketplace of solutions because of the “substantial overlap among acute care and skilled nursing facilities’ workforce competency requirements.”

IKIKO, a recruitment website that maintains complete transparency throughout the employment application process, said it will launch this spring. IKIKO says it members, both candidates and employers, will discover well-fittings jobs and candidates through “a targeted and transparent filtration process that generates a list of possible employers and employees without revealing any personal information.” Notably, the site charges a “nominal” fee to candidates to separate browsers from serious job seekers.

SmashFly and HCM user experience platform provider InFlight Corporation launched new internal and external career sites for Cox Enterprises. Cox said the new sites are meant to provide “a world-class experience” to both candidates and current employees.
