HCM Technology People Moves

New hires, promotions and other personnel moves throughout the HCM technology community.

Matt Straz was ousted as New York-based Namely’s CEO after the company’s board decidied “his actions were inconsistent with that which is expected of Namely leadership.” Until a successor is found, board member Elisa Steele will lead the Office of the CEO, which will also include Dan Murphy, CFO; Paul Rogers, CTO; and Graham Younger, President and CRO. No specific reasons for given for Straz’s departure.

HCM Technology People MovesMonster named Scott Gutz as its new CEO, effective July 2. Previously, he was CEO Amadeus North America, a provider of technology solutions to the travel and tourism industry. Earlier, Monster brought aboard Bob Melk, most recently president of the tech job site Dice, as its chief commercial officer.

Cornerstone OnDemand nominated Elisa Steele, Richard Haddrill and Marcus Ryu for election to its board of directors. The candidates will be placed on the ballot for election at Cornerstone’s annual meeting on June 14, 2018. Assuming her election, Steele will serve as chair of the board.

Bradley Bodell joined national Lake Forest, Ill., employee benefits provider Trustmark as senior vice president and chief information officer. He will lead the company’s technology strategies to facilitate enterprise growth, a better customer experience and oversee ongoing investments in information security. Bodell joins from CNO Financial Group, where he was SVP and CIO.

Rochelle Park, N.J.-based executive search firm ZRG Partners hired Wendy Murphy as managing director and global leader of its CHRO practice. Joining her are Davonne Helmer, who will work as a managing director in Chicago, and Allyson Hauck, a principal who will work out of Washington, D.C. Earlier this month, ZRG hired Giovanni Lamarca as a managing director in its consumer practice.

Doug Stone has been named head of data at ExecThread in New York. The company said his experience in data operations, which includes working with large streams of structured and unstructured data, will enable it to further leverage its proprietary candidate intent and qualifications data to match members to executive-level job requirements.

J. Edward Pearson has become president of healthcare HCM platform provider Healthstream, while also maintaining his responsibilities as COO. CEO and board chair Robert A. Frist, Jr., who previously remains the company’s CEO and chairman.

Thrive Global, Arianna Huffington’s behavior-change media and technology company has hired Laurie Weisberg as chief revenue officer, Anne Sachs as chief content officer, and Amy Vezzetti as chief people officer.

Identity information service provider Neustar appointed Marjorie R. Bailey to be senior vice president of HR, responsible for the company’s people strategy including talent acquisition and development, employee engagement and metrics, diversity and inclusion, and compensation and benefits. She will report to CEO Lisa Hook.

Acrometis, a Malvern, Pa., producer of workers’ compensation claims processing platforms, named Susan Boclair as president and chief operating officer to lead the organization’s strategic direction and operations.

Miami-based Humantelligence, a recruiting and culture analytics company, appointed two new board members, Datalaab CEO Rahul Sachdev and Auxis CEO Raul Vega. The company said both have track records of technology innovation and successful business transformation that will help Humantelligence’s continued growth.

Karen Kiesel joined global risk and compliance firm The Red Flag Group as managing director, learning & development platforms. She will manage the company’s suite of compliance training solutions, including Compliance Interactive and IntegraTeach.
