iCIMS will integrate InfoMart’s background-screening tools into its Talent Platform. The companies said their partnership offers employers “a unified workflow” of screening results from InfoMart into iCIMS, allowing them to maintain control of the hiring process.

PeopleFluent’s VectorVMS unit has launched as a standalone brand, thus becoming the latest addition Learning Technologies Group’s portfolio. LTG CEO Jonathan Satchell said the decision to establish VectorVMS as its own brand “underscores our commitment to build on the division’s past success while providing the vision and resources to enhance their offerings to meet the growing contingent and non-employee labor needs worldwide.” VectorVMS automates the entire process of hiring and managing contingent labor.

Randstad’s outplacement firm RiseSmart launched a mobile app to help users “further their career transitions 24/7.” Available in 12 languages, the app provides on-demand transition guidance and allows users to schedule coaching meetings, view webinars, attend group coaching sessions and access job opportunities on a map to estimate potential commuting times.

Gloat launched InnerMobility, a platform and mobile app that helps employers provide career-advancement opportunities to their workers. InnerMobility’s AI-driven technology looks at employees’ skills, experiences and goals to match them with projects, job swaps, mentorships and new positions that will help further their career ambitions, the company said.

Oracle’s revenues were unchanged at $9.6 billion during its 2019 fiscal second quarter and up 2 percent in constant currency. Short-term deferred revenues were up 3 percent, to $8.2 billion, compared to the year-ago period. Operating Cash Flow was up 5 percent, to $15.2 billion. The company’s Fusion ERP and NetSuite ERP delivered a combined revenue growth rate of 32 percent, the company said.

Paychex announced total revenue of $858.9 million for the three months ended November 30, its fiscal second quarter. That represents a 7 percent increase from the $803 million seen during the same period last year. Net income increased 19 percent to $235.8 million, and diluted EPS rose 18 percent to 65 cents. President and CEO Martin Mucci said Paychex continues to see strong demand for its PEO services.

BenefitMall enhanced its CRQS to simplify the quoting and proposal-creation process for benefits brokers. New features include advanced PDF and Excel outputs, custom content, plan recommendations, plan change indicators and an HSA/HRA Analyzer. One of the CRQS’ most anticipated tools, the company said, the Analyzer allows brokers to analyze current plans compared to HSA and HRA plans available to them.

Vangst, a recruiting platform for the cannabis industry, launched Vangst GIGS, a new feature that allows candidates and employers full control over booking temporary jobs. Vangst GIGS will be the first and only fully compliant on-demand employment service in the cannabis space, the company said.

More than three-quarters, 76 percent, of retail and hospitality companies say employee retention is their biggest challenge, according to a report from Ceridian and HR.com. The likely cause: the continuing tight labor market, which is making recruitment more difficult, as well, according to about half the survey’s participants. Meanwhile, 41 percent said they’re struggling with labor costs, likely because of their recruitment and retention issues, the report said. You can download the report here.

SHRM launched a People Analytics Specialty Credential, which will allow HR professionals to show they understand enough about analytics to put them to use on workforce issues. The credential “is designed to give HR practitioners a firm foundation in the principles and applications of metrics and technology that support HR practices and organizational objectives,” said Nick Schacht, the organization’s chief global development officer.
