Oracle Ups Its Game in Employee Experience with Oracle ME

Oracle ME

Oracle launched Oracle ME, an employee experience platform designed to help organizations increase the engagement of their workforce.

Oracle ME is an open platform that extends across the Oracle Fusion Cloud’s applications suite. It connects to, and automates, processes with third-party systems and works across multiple channels such as email, SMS, web browser, collaboration tools and video conferencing.

The new platform will enable HR and business leaders to streamline communications across their organizations, Oracle said. It should also help increase productivity by guiding employees through complex tasks, and improve talent retention by developing a more supportive environment.

Making Complex Work Doable

Among the solutions included in Oracle ME are Touchpoints, an employee listening solution; HCM Communicate, an employee outreach solution; and Oracle Journeys, a workflow solution that aids in complex tasks by providing step-by-step processes and personalized guidance.

ME also comes with Oracle Connections, an interactive workforce directory and organization chart as well as a service-request management solution and a chatbot. And, it provides contextual and guided experiences that strengthen workplace relationships and allow employees to exchange continuous feedback with their managers.s

Yvette Cameron, Oracle Cloud HCM’s senior vice president of global product strategy, said that employees want to feel heard and empowered, and also to be part of a culture they believe in. “To meet these expectations, organizations need to step up and design experiences that meet the unique needs of their talent,” she said, “or risk losing them to competitors that do.”

“Oracle ME is all about converging workers’ information, critical insights, workflows and preferences with a technology-enabled solution to give each individual something they can call ‘my experience’,” she added.

Evolving Workforce Needs

According to Oracle’s latest AI@Work study, 85% of the global workforce is not satisfied with their employer’s support for their careers. Meantime, 87% believe their organization should be doing more to listen to their needs. As a result, employers are under increasing pressure to make experience a high priority. However, the company said, without understanding – in detail – the needs of individual workers, HR and business leaders are hard-pressed to design experiences that support employees throughout their careers .

In November, Oracle added new features to Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM Analytics in a bid to help employers use data to help keep employees engaged and growing.

At the time, Cameron said the module’s pre-built analytics would expand on the KPIs, metrics and dashboards the company already offered.
