Phenom launched a new module to connect employees with executives and other experienced leaders with an eye toward developing mentoring relationships. Called Phenom Mentoring, the module leverages automation and AI to match users based on skills, career path, location, goals and mentoring style.
Phenom believes that human connection is becoming increasingly important at a time when so much business communication has moved online, especially because of the impact it can have on growth and retention. The pressure on employers is ratcheted up, it says, by two parallel warning flags: A growing feeling among employees that they don’t receive enough training, and the fact that 26% of workers plan to look for a new job once the pandemic subsides. Of those, 80% are concerned about their career growth..@Phenom_People launched a new module to connect employees with experienced leaders with an eye toward building mentoring relationships. #HR #HRTech Click To Tweet
The module supports several types of mentoring, included 1-to-1, distance or e-mentoring, short-term, situational mentoring, group mentoring, peer mentoring and reverse mentoring.
Adding to the Experience
To help counter those dynamics, the module helps organizations launch or enhance mentoring programs, facilitate collaboration, track goals and measure the success of their efforts. Phenom says it will also help employers reduce turnover.
In a blog post, Phenom said Mentoring simplifies and optimizes the matching process, pairing mentors and mentees based on their skills, career paths, location, goals, and mentoring styles
With Phenom Mentoring, users can:
- Discover mentors based on criteria like skills, goals and career paths.
- Request a compatible mentor who can help them reach defined goals.
- Initiate and manage mentorships within Phenom’s talent experience platform.
- Track mentorship goals, objectives, session summaries and resources.
Mentoring is a part of Phenom’s Employee Experience product, which includes tools for career pathing, internal mobility, learning, D&I and referrals.
In May, the company launched Phenom Hiring Manager, a set of tools for hiring, management and collaboration with recruiters. The product helps managers identify candidates, manage interviews, evaluate video assessments, deliver feedback and make key hiring decisions.
