Roundup: BambooHR, Slack Integrate; Fountain Closes $85M Series C

BambooHR announced an integration with Slack to streamline time-off requests, calculate time-off balances and access employee directories, all within the Slack app. The integration streamlines HR logistics so that users can manage time-off requests and balances, see who’s out of the office and lookup employee information in the directory. Additionally, managers and approvers can be notified instantly when a new time-off request or timesheet is ready for their review. BambooHR said the app was built with a basic natural language engine that allows users to enter what they want to do using natural language instead of being required to use the corresponding slash command.

Fountain closed an $85 million Series C round, led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2. The investment follows strong company momentum during 2021, the company said, as revenue grew 220% year-over-year. With this round, Fountain has raised $119 million to date. It will use the funding to invest in continued development of its hiring platform, to grow its sales and engineering teams and its operations and presence in EMEA and APAC.

HR Acuity launched managER, a product designed for HR leaders that simplifies managing employee issues. managER is designed to eliminate inconsistent processes, inadequate documentation and ineffective resolutions related to employee issues such as performance problems or policy violations.

PDS announced several improvements to its Vista HCM platform. Vista Recruiting now offers additional controls to manage the applicant’s registration process and improve the recruiter’s analysis of recruitment activity. Vista Onboarding offers simplified personalization and better monitoring of the onboarding process. And Vista Benefits has been enhanced to include a new streamlined benefits enrollment experience.  

CEIPAL launched a new marketplace partnership with Monster. The collaboration will provide unified access and reduced pricing to Monster job ads and CEIPAL features, all within the same CEIPAL platform. In addition to this partnership, CEIPAL already in place Monster integrations the provide users with access to Monster’s native search capabilities.

Employee experience management firm Tivian acquired GuideSpark, a change communication company. Their combined capabilities will allow companies to synthesize feedback from their workforce and drive change through communication that reaches the right employees at the right time with the right information, the companies said. With the acquisition, Tivian becomes the first vendor to offer employee experience management using technology that delivers customized messaging and engages workers.

PageUp unit Clinch formed a global partnership with Hiretual. The relationship will allow Clinch customers to use Hiretual’s hiring solution to match candidates and roles and scale their talent acquisition organizations with intelligent sourcing, engagement, integrations and analysis.

More than a third of hospitality workers, 38%, say they’re considering or planning to leave their jobs within the next two months, according to research by experience firm Medallia. The report also found that 59% of industry organizations are working with less staff now than they had before the COVID-19 pandemic.
