Roundup: ADP Earnings Up; Augeo Launches ‘Connection’ Tools

This week’s roundup of deals, product announcements and other news from the HCM technology community.

ADP increased revenues by 8 percent, to $3.5 billion, during its 2019 second quarter. Diluted earnings per share sank 16 percent to $1.27 for the quarter, while adjusted diluted EPS increased 30 percent to $1.34. PEO average worksite employees grew 9 percent. The company also raised its fiscal 2019 EPS estimate to 17 – 19 percent.

Engagement and incentive software firm Augeo launched REACH, a new way for companies to energize and connect employees. Augeo said REACH provides HR leaders with integrated tools that help them form a deeper understanding of the each employee’s skills and interests. It also helps employers encourage teamwork, facilitate career development and promote “cultural alignment.”

SocialChorus, a workforce communications platform provider, now provides a bi-directional integration solution through Microsoft SharePoint. The integration allows communicators to increase reach to every worker, publish from one place and unify the reporting analytics of all employee communications programs.

Feedback platform Culture Amp acquired the performance management firm Zugata. The company said Zugata’s tools will allow its customers to connect people and culture information with performance and development data, thus enabling them to make more action-oriented decisions.

Background screening services provider OPENonline announced multiple enhancements to SelectHire, its core platform. New features include a revamped UI, simpler navigation and improved mobile capabilities, including SMS/text delivery for some users.

Valued launched a compliance solution that helps HR leaders combat abusive conduct, such as workplace bullying and harassment, and also reward positive behaviors. The company, which had been in stealth mode, raised $1.7 million in seed funding from BootstrapLabs.

PoliteMail, which provides Microsoft Outlook-based employee email engagement solutions, added new features to enhance internal corporate communications. Among them is an appointment tracking feature that allows Outlook users to send regular or HTML-designed appointments to employees and measure real-time response counts. Another addition: the ability to send intelligent follow-up messages to non-responders.

Infor launched enhancements to four of its ERP systems to improve their speed, flexibility and agility. The system are Infor LN, Infor CloudSuite Automotive, Infor CloudSuite Aerospace and Defense (A&D) and Infor CloudSuite Industrial Enterprise. The enhancements will help manufacturers within the automotive, A&D, construction, tech and electronics, industrial machinery and industrial manufacturing verticals better align their business objectives with business processes, Infor said.

Assessment platform provider Pymetrics and search firm Russell Reynolds created a research partnership aimed at reducing bias in executive-selection decisions by identifying the cognitive, social and emotional traits that differentiate those who succeed in C-suite roles within large companies. Initial results of the research will be released this spring of 2019.

Background check provider HireRight announced a rebranding campaign. The new look emphasizes the company’s promise to “get it right every time, everywhere.”
