CareerBuilder Adds Social Recruiting to Talent Acquisition Suite

Social Media

CareerBuilder launched a social recruiting tool that lives within its Talent Acquisition Suite to U.S. customers. The company said SocialReferral is available to U.S. clients and will help employees share content and job postings internally and to their own personal networks.

SocialReferral is designed to help organizations highlight their culture by providing branded social networks and a better employee experience. CareerBuilder CEO Irina Novoselsky said the tool’s been well-received in Europe. The tool will offer U.S.-based clients with “added capabilities that support retention efforts and empower all employees to serve as authentic brand ambassadors and recruiters,” she said.

Separately, CareerBuilder detailed its Winter 2020 release, which was made available last week. Among its features: new widgets on the home page to access lists and candidates, the ability to send and receive text messages within the ATS and a guided posting process in AI Job Postings.

Showing Off Culture via Social Media

Using SocialReferral, employers can create a dedicated space where employees can offer encouragement and recognize success and otherwise participate in the corporate culture, CareerBuilder said. CareerBuilder built the feature to operate “like other social networks” in a bid to streamline ease of use and increase adoption. The tool connects with other social networks, allowing users to share job postings.

Talent acquisition teams have traditionally been fans of employee-referred candidates, who tend to have a shorter time to hire and a higher retention rate, CareerBuilder said.

Meanwhile, CareerBuilder announced new features to other products in the Talent Acquisition Suite, including its Talent Discovery Platform. Updates include expanded privacy and security features, advancements to the Candidate Appeal Score tool and additional customization options throughout the platform.

In addition, the suite’s communications tools have been upgraded to allow personalized communications via text message.

Earlier this month, CareerBuilder sold its Employment Screening to Accurate Background in Irvine, Calif. Through a partnership agreement, CareerBuilder plans to continue offering background checks.

In October, CareerBuilder launched updates to its user experience for both employers and job seekers. The company bulked up its Talent Discovery Platform in order to help customers hire more quickly (it claimed 30 percent more quickly) while supporting job seekers as they determine the next steps in their career planning or look for new opportunities.
