Ceridian unveiled a new tiered model for its payroll administration solution Dayforce Managed Payroll. Using this new approach, the company will work with customers to help them manage their day-to-day payroll activities, with the aim of providing HR and payroll professionals with more time to spend working on strategic issues, growth opportunities and other workforce concerns.

A one-size-fits-all approach to payroll administration no longer works, Ceridian believes, especially at a time when agility and scalability or critical to successful workforce management. The tiered model, Ceridian said, will offer customers an effective combination of technology and service to help deliver quantifiable value.

Dayforce Managed Payroll’s tiers will replace the Ceridian’s previous standardized service delivery model. The tiers are designed to help remove guesswork and provide customers of different sizes, needs and payroll complexities with service through features that are in sync with their priorities and budgets.

The tiers are:

  • Standard provides Access Ceridian payroll professionals, who can augment existing HR and payroll teams and manage essential payroll processes.
  • Select returns time time and resources from day-to-day payroll responsibilities through services and optional add-ons, and so provides customers with more choice and flexibility.
  • Signature outsources the customer’s payroll function and allows HR to refocus on talent and growth strategies.=

“…limiting the number of unknowns for our customers and their employees is critical,” said Ceridian Head of Product Strategy & Growth Behrad Bayanpour. “We’re seeing this trend fuel digital transformation and a focus on core competencies.” The newly tiered Dayforce Managed Payroll, he said, “will help our customers do just that.”

Dayforce Managed Payroll is a single cloud solution that combines HR, payroll, benefits, workforce management and talent management. Its new tiers are currently available in the U.S., Australia, Canada, Ireland, Mauritius, Singapore and the UK. They’ll be launched in Germany soon, Ceridian said.

In June, Ceridian launched Dayforce Career Explorer, an AI-powered solution designed to help improve engagement and retention by “allowing employees to manage their careers.” The product provides employees with more access to career pathing, opportunities for learning and development and notifications for open roles.
