Coaching marketplace and learning experience platform GoCoach relaunched itself as SkillCycle, and announced new product features and improvements to its core user experience.

Previously, GoCoach, founded in 2018, provided learning and development experiences and upskilling for employees in small to mid-sized businesses. The company had hoped to help employees take ownership of their careers by way of education, while simultaneously helping employers  to meet their business goals.

With the repositioning, SkillCycle now brings “all the tenets of talent, learning and career development together into one ecosystem.” The goal of the rebrand is to integrate personalized learning into the employee lifecycle at every stage for all workers, the company said.

“Too often, we’re seeing companies providing the gift of continuous learning just to preferred groups of individuals, rather than offering it to all,” SkillCycle Founder and CEO Kristy McCann Flynn said. “So, we found a way to make continuous learning accessible to everyone — and make it budget-friendly for all our buyers.”

The specific reasoning for the rebranding was not disclosed by the company. Since the announcement, GoCoach has transitioned its website and social media to incorporate the rebrand.

Human Capital Development

SkillCycle said it aims to “redefine the human capital development category.” With tat goal in mind, the company’s product suite now focuses on employee learning and upskilling with the overall goal of improving employees’ job fulfillment. Key features of the platform include performance management, engagement and learning, as well as a coaching marketplace for all employees. In addition, the platform provides metrics on productivity to help organizational leaders gain insight into their workforce.

Skillcycle said it also brings equity in development to enhance equity in jobs, pay and other areas with learning placed at its core.

“SkillCycle re-centers the full-scope talent development, learning experiences and performance management around learning that drives engagement and connects individual outcomes to the overall company performance and goal progression,” Flynn said.
