The feature analyzes labor records and time and attendance data to can generate a report companies can use to identify employees who may have come in contact with a co-worker who’s tested positive, or is presumed to be positive, for COVID-19. The company can then communicate with the worker, work with health authorities and take other steps, such as aggressively cleaning exposed work areas.

Kronos’s tool is available at no additional charge.

Manage COVID-19 Legislation

Meanwhile, Ultimate Software released UltiPro enhancements and resources to help customers and their employees address needs created by legislation governing employers’ response to the pandemic.

Ultimate introduced tools to help customers handle taxes, payments and leave management to comply with new federal legislation such as the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA), the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, and other state and federal regulations.

The tools allow users to configure new earnings codes so customers can grant paid FFCRA sick leave and paid FFCRA family and medical leave. They also will support new types of leave as they become available, allow companies to defer their portions of Social Security payments in 2020 and access Form I-9 and E-Verify processes without a physical presence.

In addition, Ultimate Perception has added a free check-in pulse survey.

Disclosure: Ultimate Software is a sponsor of the HCM Technology Report.
