Lever Aims New Functionality at ‘Next Generation’ of Talent

SMS Texting

Employ Inc.’s Lever launched Candidate Texting, a new SMS tool designed to streamline candidate communication and improve engagement for talent acquisition teams.

Candidate Texting is designed to help recruiting teams manage their candidate pipelines and overcome common communication challenges, such as improving response rates and overall time-to-hire. By using Candidate Texting, recruiters can automate time-consuming tasks like candidate outreach, improve the jobseeker experience and allow hiring teams to get in front of talent before the competition does, the company said.

“Today’s talent teams need modern communication tools to connect with candidates quickly and effectively,” said Employ Chief Product Officer Lori Ellsworth. “Candidate Texting delivers on this need, providing recruiters with a natively built and effective SMS tool that enables them to streamline engagement, scheduling, nurturing, and personalization in step with the rest of their hiring processes, all within the Lever product.”

Turning Passive to Active

In addition, Candidate Texting is designed to encourage passive candidates to become active. The tool is simple to configure and can be quickly initiated to send personalized texts to candidates while guiding them through the hiring process.

Employ acquired Lever in August 2022,five months after it was formed to be a home to JazzHR, Jobvite, and NXTThing RPO. In a blog post at the time, Employ Chief Marketing Officer Allie Kelly said the transaction made Employ the largest modern provider of talent acquisition solutions. By adding Lever, she said, the company became home to 850 employees serving 18,000 customers. In addition, it supports 3.1 million active jobs, nearly 500 million candidates and 4.9 million hires over the previous 12 months.

Across all of its units, the company offers applicant tracking, recruitment marketing, internal mobility, employee referral, analytics, AI and recruitment process outsourcing. Through the Jobvite, JazzHR and NXTThing RPO brands, it provides SMBs to global enterprises with a single solution for recruiting and growing their workforce.
