Modern Hire is offering six customizable hiring workflows that together cover over 50 jobs in industries including hospitality, delivery, logistics, retail and healthcare.

The “Hiring Blueprints” are meant to provide talent acquisition teams with repeatable methods of evaluating and hiring candidates at scale once shelter-in-place orders ease and businesses begin to ramp up again.

The blueprints can work for companies who are currently hiring, as well. Modern Hire suggests those employers face an exceptionally difficult challenge now, because the pandemic-related spike in unemployment has generated an exponential increase in applicants. In addition, the company said employers remain concerned about providing a high-touch candidate experience, even when their TA team is working remotely.

Flexible Workflow Approach

The hiring blueprints provide customizable workflows for roles in hospitality, logistics, healthcare, retail, financial services, call center and recruitment process outsourcing (RPO), Modern Hire said. They attempt to balance “fairness, speed and quality” to help recruiters identify and attract talent while offering an enhanced candidate experience.

Each stage of the workflows includes job-relevant content, questions and review information that helps employers gauge fit and potential quality of hire.

Specifically, the blueprints offer:

  • Tailored job processes that align to each role’s specific requirements. Each blueprint can be rapidly deployed and customized to address specific hiring needs and pain points.
  • Multiple approaches to interviewing technology, designed for a largely remote workforce. Channels included are on-demand text, audio and video, live video and a virtual tryout assessment.
  • Fast tracking of qualified candidates: The system integrates interviewing technology and pre-hire assessments to help recruiters identify and evaluate the candidates best suited for a specific role.
  • Two-way hiring process: Two-way communications between employers and candidates are set up in a way that encourages a predictive process for everyone.

Previously, Modern Hire said its platform supports over 20 million assessments and interviews. In 2019, it said assessment use grew by 93 percent year over year, while interview use rose by nearly 60 percent. The company’s user base increased by 40 percent. During 2020, the company expects revenue to increase by more than the 30 percent it saw last year.
