Fountain Acquires Provider of Conversational AI Technology

Recruiting Tech

Fountain acquired the intellectual property and employees of Clevy, a provider of conversational AI technologies. The transaction integrates Clevy’s AI capabilities into Fountain’s technology with the goal of helping to make the hiring of hourly workers easier and more efficient. At the same time, it helps Fountain strengthen its position in the ATS market.

By adding Paris-based Clevy’s conversational AI technology, Fountain said it will be able to provide employers with advanced tools that take advantage of custom workflows to create a smoother hiring and onboarding process. The technology streamlines communication between candidates and employers, making the hiring process more efficient.

Fountain CEO Sean Behr said Clevy’s chatbot technology will allow his company “to provide the most advanced and comprehensive hiring solution for the hourly workforce.” The combination of products will offers a seamless experience between the two in order to optimize the hiring process.

‘Transforming the Hiring Process’

The company described the acquisition of Clevy as the latest in a series of innovations. By combining the power of AI with an easy-to-use applicant tracking system, Fountain said it’s helping employers across industries transform their hiring process and get employees on their way to earning their paycheck even faster than before.

The deal is the second notable transaction in the talent acquisition space this week. On Tuesday, UKG said it will acquire Immedis, a global payroll provider with technology and services operating in more than 160 countries. The acquisition will lead to a new product to help consolidate global payroll, UKG said.

In March, Fountain added a conversational AI feature, Fountain AI, to its product suite. The company said Fountain AI aims to accelerate an employer’s hiring funnel and help hiring managers move candidates through the process more quickly.

Among Fountain AI’s features are automated data collection and sorting capabilities, as well as simplified interview scheduling tools to streamline the process for both recruiters and candidates.
