Roundup: Salesforce Launches Slack GPT; CHROs Expect AI to Benefit HR

Salesforce announced Slack GPT, a new conversational AI experience natively integrated into Slack. According to the company, the offering will include the ability to use generative AI app integrations and different language models. In addition, it will work with Einstein GPT to help organizations “tap into” employee knowledge and secure customer data insights in order to increase productivity.

Sixty-five percent of chief human resource officers expect AI to have a positive impact on the HR function over the next two years, according to the Conference Board’s CHRO Confidence Index. The survey also found CHROs are increasingly confident about hiring, with just over half saying they expect hiring to increase in the next six months.

HR software provider Ciphr relaunched its digital learning platform, Ciphr Academy, with the goal of helping more users become “HR system experts.” The offering makes training available online at any time of day with new “bitesize” classes, allowing for greater flexibility.

Gigs, a job platform that connects companies to job seekers looking for hourly jobs, launched its employer portal to help companies with their full-time and part-time hiring needs. In addition, the company announced that it has raised $2.7 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Slauson & Co., with additional investment from Wonder Ventures and several angel investors.

Pipefy, provider of low-code automation solutions, named Daniela Catalan as its new CHRO.
