BambooHR Expands Platform to Streamline Hiring, Onboarding

BambooHR New Hire

BambooHR unveiled product features that will streamline the hiring and onboarding of new employees. With them, the company’s customers can leverage integrations with popular job boards, simplifying promotion and increasing the visibility of job openings. In addition, users can create and manage candidate talent pools and more precisely tailor the onboarding process for new employees.

A recent study by the company found that nearly one-third of remote workers plan to switch careers or look for a new job sometime in the next six months. Employers told BambooHR they wouldn’t be able to keep up with resulting spikes in recruiting. Maintaining a central record and being able to automate has helped them manage onboarding and provide a seamless candidate experience, they said.

BambooHR said new features include:

  • ZipRecruiter Job Board Integration: Customers can automatically share job openings to the ZipRecruiter job board. Over 110 million job seekers have used ZipRecruiter, which provides a natural extension of potential candidates.
  • Candidate Talent Pools: A new feature, candidate talent pools give customers the ability to move candidates they don’t hire into talent pools for future consideration. Customers can create an unlimited number of talent pools, and candidates can appear in multiple pools. BambooHR said the feature allows HR and hiring managers to keep tabs on promising candidates, giving the organization a head start on hiring as new positions open.
  • Onboarding Enhancements: These updates allow more visibility and flexibility when creating new hire packets. When configuring a packet, admins can add, delete or edit all onboarding tasks related to the employee, and change when task notifications are sent. This allows admins to fine-tune the individual onboarding process as needed, rather than anticipate and save changes in the system beforehand.

Amy Frampton, BambooHR’s head of marketing, said the return of full-force hiring, combined with swaths of employees considering job changes, is spurring HR leaders to explore how new technology can help them manage the labor market. The new enhancements “will help hiring managers, HR pros and recruiters cast a wider net while adding reassurance that new employees are being onboarded efficiently and effectively,” she said.

In July, BambooHR launched features designed to help organizations better understand employee performance and sentiment. The solutions gives employees the option to offer additional sentiment context when providing employee net promoter score feedback, and provides managers with more control over when and how they request performance management assessments.
