GR8 People Extends Offer as Virtual Recruiting Settles In

GR8 People Virtual Event

Recruiting platform GR8 People has extended its offer for 60 days of free access to its virtual event solution for new users.

The company had begun offering free access to the solution soon after the pandemic appeared in the U.S. CEO Diane Smith said the company decided to extend the offer because of high demand and continued economic uncertainty.

The Virtual Recruiting Event Solution connects an employer’s existing videoconferencing platform to GR8 People’s recruiting tools. That approach allows customers to avoid investing in capabilities they already have while automating registrations and reminders, pre-screening and invitations for candidates to self-schedule.

The module also helps to reach out to candidates after an event and measure recruitment marketing tactics and event performance.

Virtual Recruiting Takes Hold

Many recruiting platforms have stepped up their efforts to put their virtual recruiting platforms in front of customers and prospects since the COVID-19 pandemic began. Some providers, such as GR8 People, already had a solution available. Others, like Beamery, introduced them soon after travel become restricted and shelter-at-home orders spread across the country.

Another virtual recruiting company, San Francisco-based Turazo, previously reported receiving more inquiries and having conversations move more quickly since shelter-in-place directives began appearing in March.

Just as they had to embrace remote work in order to continue operating, employers quickly adapted to virtual hiring in order to keep their talent acquisition efforts moving forward. Even as millions of people were laid off or furloughed, recruiters say hiring has continued in some sectors. Meanwhile, many employers are sourcing candidates and building up their pipelines so they can be ready to hire quickly as the economy recovers.

Many executives anticipate a heavy round of hiring as the pandemic recedes. While two-thirds of employers cut headcount or pay in response to COVID-19, a survey by Salary.com found only 10% expect layoffs to be permanent.

Recruiters and vendors believe a critical factor of online event platforms is the experience they offer to candidates. “The experience that companies provide to candidates in the coming months will be one that you are remembered by for years to come,” said Beamery President Sultan Saidov.
